Behind Taste of Home
Taste of Home is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that welcomes refugees with carefully curated boxes of ingredients from their home cultures. When my family fled Iran, they carried with them recipes that would keep our culture alive in a new land. Today, the goal of Taste of Home is to create that same connection for newly arrived refugees - filling each welcome box with hand-selected spices and ingredients that help families from Afghanistan, Ukraine, Syria, Somalia, and beyond feel connected to their roots and feel comforted and welcomed in their new communities.
